Memorize and Reflect

After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. - 1 Kings 19:12

Prayer Direction

Ask God to show you His face and assure you of His presence, even in the low and hard times of life. Thank God that He is with you on the mountain top experiencing when things are going well. Pray for growth and bold faith in both the highs and lows of life.

“Live It!” Challenge

Listen for a Whisper
Block out 10-15 minutes sometime in the coming week. Find the most private and quiet place you can manage and be totally silent for at least ten minutes. Turn off your phone and don’t stay plugged in (if your watch brings in messages, leave it somewhere else). Have a piece of paper and a writing utensil with you.
Ask God the two questions below.
Jot down any whispers or gentle messages or senses that are coming from the Lord and then take action on them.
1. Is there an area of my spiritual life that I need to grow and what step would you have me take?
2. Is there a person who needs to be loved or served in some way that will show Your presence and what would you have me do?
