Memorize and Reflect
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory. (Isaiah 6:3)Prayer Direction
Ask God to help you see Him in the glory of His holiness and invite the Holy Spirit to convict, inspire, and transform you. Confess to God where you see impurity in your life and ask for a new desire to live a pure and holy life.“Live It!” Challenge
Lip Examination – Read (Isaiah 6:1-8) and reflect on Isaiah’s staggering response to entering into the holiness of God’s presence (in a vision). Isaiah uses the image of unclean lips (his and the people’s) as a picture of impure and unholy behavior and attitudes. Make a list of at least ten ways our culture has become a place of unclean lips. What are things that are said and done in our world that are seen as acceptable, but they are clearly unholy in the eyes of God. Ask yourself if any of these attitudes or actions have crept into your life and seek to root them out with the help of the Holy Spirit.Small Group Discussion

What does Isaiah see and experience in this vision? How does this encounter with God’s holiness impact and change Isaiah?Tell about a time when you were struck by or encountered the holiness of God. How did this impact the way you see yourself and the world around you?
Read: Revelation 4:8-11
What do you learn about the character of God in this vision of His holiness? If we walked through a normal day with this image of God (who is with us and in us) alive in our heart, how might this change the way we see our world and the things we do (or don’t do)?Read: Habakkuk 1:13 and 2 Corinthians 5:21
Why does God’s holiness make it impossible for Him to embrace sin (or people who are covered with sin)? What images come to your mind when you think of the word “Pure”? What images come to your mind when you think about the holiness of God?
