Who is This Jesus? – Read three passages about Jesus Colossians 1:15-20; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-3, the divine One, and make a list of what you learn about your Savior. After you make a list, thank Him for who He is.Small Group Discussion
Tell about one thing that changed for the better in your life when Jesus entered your heart and took leadership of your life.
Read: John 1:1-18 What do you learn about Jesus in this passage?
How does this passage affirm the divinity of Jesus (The fact that He was God with us)? Why is it central to our faith that Jesus was both fully man and fully God?
When we look at Jesus as God, what do we learn about how God sees us, loves us, and relates with us?
Read: Colossians 1:15-20 What do we learn about the person and nature of Jesus from this passage?
When we believe what Colossians 1 teaches us about Jesus, how can these truths lead us to peace and comfort (even in hard times)?
How is Jesus bringing reconciliation and healing in our broken world? What is one place in your life where you need to partner with Jesus in seeking reconciliation in a place of brokenness? How can your group members pray for you and support you as you do this?
Read: Philippians 2:6-11 and Hebrews 1:1-3 What does this passage teach us about Jesus’ divinity and humanity?
What are ways Jesus has served you through his life and death and in the flow of your daily life?
How can you show the presence and love of Jesus by following His example of humbly serving others? How can your group members cheer you on as you grow in your commitment to serve others?
