Memorize and Reflect

But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way. (Daniel 1:8)

Prayer Direction

Ask God to give you hope and faith in this very difficult time. Pray for the power of the Holy Spirit to sustain you and those you love in through the coming weeks. Ask God to help you recognize people in your life who are not followers of Jesus, but are looking for strength, hope, and a source of joy in this hard season. Pray for boldness to point them to the only one who can help them stand strong in the storms of life...Jesus.

“Live It!” Challenge

Know What Is Core: Make a list of ten things in your spiritual life you feel are not core or essential (though they may be important). Then, make a list of ten things you believe are absolutely central and core that you would never flex on or compromise on. Spend time praying for the power of the Holy Spirit to fill you so that you can stand strong on the core of the Christian faith.
