The book of 1 John is a book of love and joy. It helps us understand the fellowship we have with others and with Jesus Christ. Joy and happiness are different, and John helps us see that difference. Our task is to take his words to heart, apply them in our daily lives, and find the love, commitment, fellowship, and joy we long for.
