Memorize and Reflect

1 Corinthians 15:55 “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”

Prayer Direction

Thank Jesus for making his victory your victory. Give Him praise for conquering sin, hell, and death. Pray for a daily awareness that you walk and live in the power of His victory. Lift up people you love who do not yet walk the grace and victory of Jesus.

“Live It!” Challenge

No Fear! - Make a list of three or four fears you live with. Take time to offer each one of them to the resurrected Savior and ask for courage and confidence that you no longer have to live in fear because of the victory Jesus has already won.

Small Group Discussion

  1. Tell about your childhood Easter memories. Were they about Jesus and His resurrection or something else?

  2. Tell about a victory you have experienced and how it made you feel and how it impacted your life.

  3. Read: Romans 8:1-3 and 1 Corinthians 15:20-21
What did Jesus do to deal with your sin and the shame that it brings? What message do we send to Jesus and the world if we still live under the power of sin and the guilt of shame?

  4. Why should Christians live with absolutely no shame if we truly have accepted His grace (even when we are aware of the reality of our sin)?

  5. Read: Romans 8:37-39 and James 4:7-8
What does the Bible teach about the power of Satan in the lives of those who have accepted Jesus in the glory of His death and resurrection?

  6. What are ways we can stand and live in the power of the resurrection when Satan tries to entice us to sin or have influence in our life?

  7. Read: 1 Corinthians 15:50-58
Because Jesus has risen, what can his followers know for certain about themselves?

  8. How does the resurrection of Jesus bring us hope, confidence, and clarity for how to live in this world?

  9. Who is one person you love that is not presently walking as a follower of Jesus with the certainty of the resurrection before them? How can your group members pray for you and encourage you to share the message and love of Jesus with this person?
