Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' (John 14:6)


Prayer Direction

Pray for the courage and power to become uncomfortable and be inconvenienced by situations and conditions that will grow you and bring you closer to Jesus.


“Live It!” Challenge

Do a clear and honest assessment of your life and comforts. Where are the challenges? Where can you grow if put through trials and difficulties? Allow yourself to engage in these circumstances with great expectations.

  1. Share about people you admire, past or present, who faced great trials for their faith willingly and how their stories turned out.

  2. How do you separate being comforted and being uncomfortable in your life today?

  3. Describe the difference between “telling” the truth, and “being” the truth. John 14:6

  4. Where do you place safety, risk, comfort and discomfort in everyday life?

  5. In what ways have you navigated difficult times and come through, achieving set goals?

  6. When you think of telling and facing truth, consider if all truths should be shared automatically with the people in your life? If so, why. If not, why? Guidelines?

  7. When has being comforted soothed you- describe the circumstances.

  8. Have you ever shared a difficult truth with someone? Share the story of why and the outcome.
