Memorize and Reflect

2 Peter 3:11
Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives…

Prayer Direction

Pray for courage to follow Jesus no matter how things get in this world and your life. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you discernment and wisdom to recognize false teachings and hold to God’s Word without compromise. Pray for power to stand strong in the storms of this life.

“Live It!” Challenge

Spiritual Conditioning – If you want to be ready for a big hike or a marathon, you train and get in shape. The same is true in the spiritual world. If you want to stand strong in the spiritual storms and attacks, start working out spiritually. Identify the little temptations you face and make sure you don’t give in. Develop daily habits of reading the Bible and praying, even when you don’t feel like it and when it is hard. These workouts will prepare you for bigger battles to come!

Small Group Discussion

  5. Why is it so important that we recognize messages and temptations that are demonic and destructive?

  6. Read: Matthew 24:15-28. According to Jesus, how bad will things get in the last days?

  7. Read: Matthew 24:42-51. People will fall away from Jesus when things get very bad and deception intensifies. How can we fortify ourselves and hold to Jesus when the world pushes hard against our faith?

  8. Why is Christian community, connection, and closeness to other believers needed in the hard times of life? What can you do to increase your connection in the family of God?

  9. What are deceptions and cultural (spiritual) compromise that are hitting Christians hard in this time of history? What can we do to resist and stand strong in Jesus?
