1 Corinthians 12:7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good!

Prayer Direction

Thank God for the gifts He has given you and pray for strength to use them every day for His glory. Pray for Shoreline to be a strong and healthy Church where every person uses their gifts for the glory of Jesus.

“Live It!” Challenge

Take the Assessment – If you have never taken the Shoreline Spiritual Gifts Assessment, go online and take it or jump into the next class. Then, dare to meet with a church leader to talk and pray about your gift(s) and learn to use them for the glory of Jesus.

Small Group Discussion

  1. What is one of the greatest gifts a person has given you and what made this gift so special?

  2. If you know one or more of your God-given spiritual gifts, share about one of them and how God has used this gift to bless others.

  3. If you are not sure about what spiritual gift (or gifts) you have from God, what is a gift that you think you might have and why do you think this?

  4. Read: 1 Corinthians 12:1-7 and Romans 12:4-7
What are some key insights or thoughts that strike you as you read both of these key passages on Spiritual gifts?

  5. Why is it so important for you, for the church, and for the world that Christians discover and use their spiritual gifts?

  6. What are some of the ways we can develop and strengthen the spiritual gifts that God gives us? Why is this necessary?

  7. Tell a story about a person you know who used a spiritual gift faithfully over the years and describe the impact of their life and ministry.

  8. Why is it so important for the church to train, equip, and help people engage in ministry that fits their unique spiritual gifting?

  9. What is one next step you can take to discover, develop, and be deployed to use your God-given gifts? How can your group members pray for you and cheer you on as you seek to do this?
