Prayer Direction
Thank God for His amazing power and for how He uses it for our good. Praise God that He is with you always, and there is nowhere you go that He is not present with you. Pray for open eyes to see the presence and goodness of God as you walk through each day.“Live It!” Challenge
God Sightings – Over the coming week, look for ways that God is with you and working in power. Keep a list of these “God-Sightings” and share them with others.Small Group Discussion
Tell about a time where God did something in His amazing power that you realized it could only be God.
Share a story about when you experienced God clearly near you, sustaining or protecting you. How did you experience His presence?
Read: Jeremiah 32:17-22. What aspects of God’s power are being celebrated in this passage, and how have you seen God reveal his power in one of these ways?
In the book of Jonah, we see many examples of how God is powerful and present. Share about some of the ways you see God in His omnipotence and Omnipresence in the book of Jonah.
Read: Hebrews 1:1-4. How do you see the Omnipotence of God revealed in Jesus, God in human flesh, in this passage?
How does the power of Jesus in you (as His follower) give confidence as you walk through life’s challenges and struggles?
Read: Colossians 1:15-20. How do you see the Omnipotence of God revealed in Jesus, God in human flesh, in this passage?
How can the presence of Jesus bring light into the dark places of this world? How have you seen the light of Jesus shine in our world?
How can we, as people filled with the presence of Jesus, shine His light in the flow of a typical day?
