Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)Prayer Direction
Take time to rejoice in God’s grace, presence and power in your life and our world. Pray for the power to be gentle with others in growing measure. Ask God to help you see the presence and power of His Holy Spirit around you. Lift up prayers of thanks for what God has been doing in your life, through your life, and in our world“Live It!” Challenge
Gratitude: Take time to write down three things you are thankful for, every day, for a week. Read this list out loud when you feel a lack of peace in your life.Small Group Discussion

What are specific and practical ways we can be intentionally gentle toward the people around us and how could these actions lead you (and them) toward peace?
How does a deep awareness that Jesus is with us grow a peaceful spirit in our hearts? What can we do to notice and tune in to the presence of Jesus?
How can you tell when you are growing anxious? What are the signs and indicators that anxiety is settling into your heart?
How does prayer function as an antidote against anxiety? What are ways we can pray against anxiety?
Stop right now and tell God what you are anxious about and ask Him to meet your needs and lift anxiety from your heart.
Why is thankfulness such a powerful counter-measure to anxiety? What are a couple of things you are thankful for today?
