Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.Prayer Direction
Be thankful for those you have or have had in your life that helped you along on your journey with Jesus. Ask God to help as you go through hard times to grow closer to Him. Ask for the grace to hear what He is saying and to see what He is doing and for the confidence to continually trust Him.“Live It!” Challenge
Take Action–Everyone will experience difficulties at some point in their journey with Jesus and sometimes this will challenge us to need help from those around us. How engaged in Christian community are you? Do you have people in your life who are praying for you? What step can you take to re-enforce Christian fellowship in your life and engage in community with others even more?Small Group Discussion
Read: Luke 5:18-26. Talk about when a friend or someone in your life helped you in a significant and possibly life changing way?
Who were some of the people in your life that helped you to begin your own personal journey with Jesus? Who may have been praying for you?
Talk about a time when God helped you through a dark or difficult time. Were there people in your life that helped you through?
When going through life’s difficulties do you tend to grow closer to God or does it sometimes cause distraction in your journey with Him?
Tell us if you have ever experienced God’s power to heal. Have you ever experienced His supernatural power or closeness in other ways?
Read: Romans 8:18. What does this scripture mean to you?
Take time to reflect on God’s goodness both in the dark times as well as during times of blessing.
