Memorize and Reflect

Matthew 14:25-33
“Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

Prayer Direction

Pray for courage to follow Jesus no matter what the situation or cost. Tell Jesus how precious He is to you and lift up specific declarations of praise.

“Live It!” Challenge

My Next Bold Step – Identify one clear and challenging step you know you need to take toward (or with) Jesus. It might be something you have known God wants you to do for some time. Write it down. Pray for power to act. Tell one trusted friend and ask them to pray with you. Then, take your next step closer to Jesus.

Small Group Discussion

  6. Read: John 13:6-9. Why do you think Peter was so reluctant to let Jesus wash his feet? Why did Peter shift and make such a big change in his willingness to be cleansed by Jesus?

  7. What are ways Jesus has served and cared for you in your life of following Him?

  8. What are ways you can serve and care for others like Jesus has done for you?

  9. Read: Acts 2:14-16 & Acts2:22-24. Why was Peter bold and ready to proclaim Jesus at this moment when he was quick to deny he knew him just days earlier?
