Thank God for His amazing grace, infinite mercy, and unconditional love for you. Invite Him to show you any areas in your life that are out of sync with His Word and will. Confess these areas to Him and ask Him for the strength and courage to take the necessary steps to change. Ask Him to show you new opportunities for spiritual growth in this new year.“Live It!” Challenge
Engaging in God’s Word: Ephesians This week, commit to reading one chapter from the book of Ephesians each day. Each day, write down at least 2-3 phrases that summarize what you are reading and how they apply to your life. Share what you discover this week on your journey through Ephesians with at least one other person.Small Group Discussion
What is one area in your life you saw growth last year? What is an area where you want to experience greater growth, joy, progress, or peace?
Read: Romans 12:1-2. What is the “Therefore” Paul mentions in verse 1?
What are ways that the world attempts to conform to us? How can followers of Jesus avoid the pitfalls of conformity to the world while still shining the light of Jesus within their community, workplace, campus, etc.?
Read: Ephesians 2:8-10. What eternal truths are described within these three powerful verses?
When you think of your life’s purpose, how would you describe it to a non-believing friend or family member?
Paul describes being created to do good works. What might be some examples of good works in your life?
Reflecting on this week’s message, how might you take simple steps this week to both renew your mind and rediscover your purpose through engaging and applying God’s Word daily? Be specific and ask your group to pray for you as you take the steps to do so.
