Revelation 21:3
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.

Prayer Direction

Thank God for wherever you live today; your eternal Zip Code is heaven! Pray for a deeper awareness that this world is not your home, and ask God to help you enjoy this world but not hold on too tightly. Pray for people you love who are far from Jesus to come to the Savior and discover their true home.

Thankful But Longing – Take time to think about where you live today and write one thing you are thankful for. But then, write one thing that you long for even more when you are in heaven:

1. What is your earthly Zip Code, and what is one thing you really enjoy and appreciate about where you live (Your house, the people, or the area where you live)?

2. What is one thing you really look forward to when you finally see Jesus face to face and go to heaven?

3. Read: Revelation 7:9-12. Why do you think God often emphasizes that there will be people from every nation and tribe in heaven? What kind of a picture does this paint?

4. What are some of the sights and sounds of heaven pictured in this passage, and how does this help us anticipate being in heaven forever?

5. Read: John 14:1-7. What does Jesus teach and describe about heaven in this passage?
