Memorize and Reflect

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. (Psalm 23:6)

Prayer Direction

Thank God for His goodness and love. Think about all the ways that His goodness and love have followed you this week. Pray for those you love who don’t yet know about the love of Jesus.

“Live It!” Challenge

Identify one person in your life who hasn’t placed their faith in Jesus yet and spend at least 5 minutes (every morning) praying for them. Pray that they would experience God’s goodness and love throughout their day. And then pray for God to give you an opportunity to have a spiritual conversation with that person before the end of the year.

Small Group Discussion

  1. When you hear the word ‘Eternity’ what immediately comes to mind?

  2. Are you encouraged, hopeful, anxious, fearful or indifferent about the thought of eternity?

  3. Read: Joshua 1:1-9
How many times did the LORD command Joshua to be “strong & courageous?” Why?

  4. What is the LORD communicating to Joshua by repeating the command to be “strong and courageous?”

  5. Read: Joshua 1:1-9 again.
The LORD makes it a point to encourage Joshua not to be ‘fearful’ or ‘discouraged,’ why?

  6. How has fear or discouragement impacted you these past few weeks?

  7. Read: Romans 5:1-8
The writer of Romans (Paul) experienced several painful and challenging moments in his life; he was no stranger to fear & discouragement. However, he also experienced peace, hope & love. How?

  8. Read: Psalm 23
How does the simple truth of this Psalm encourage, and at the same time challenge you?
