Memorize and Reflect

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7)

Prayer Direction

Thank God for the people he has placed in your life who have been a powerful example of being loyal to Jesus and to the people in their life. Pray for power to be loyal to Jesus, to family members, to the message of Jesus, and to the people God has placed in your life.

“Live It!” Challenge

Daily Loyalty: What are two or three actions toward people in your life that will show a faithful loyalty? Write these down and seek to act on each one of them every day for a week. See how this impacts these relationships… then, keep it up!

Small Group Discussion

  3. Read: 2 Timothy 1:1-5. What do you learn about Paul and Timothy’s friendship and relationship in this passage? How do you see loyalty modeled in their relationship?

  4. Who invested in you as a follower of Jesus and taught you how to walk closely with the Savior and how did they help you grow in faith?

  6. Read: 1 Timothy 1:6-10. Question?

  7. Tell about one gift God has given you that you use for His glory and how you can fan it into flame and use it even more.

  8. God calls us to boldness and not timidity. What is one way you can be bolder in your faith and loyalty to Jesus?

  9. How can your group members pray for you and encourage you as you seek to live with greater loyalty, boldness, and passion for Jesus?
