Memorize and Reflect
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins…The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” (Acts 2:38-39)Prayer Direction
Praise the Father for giving us the guidance and structure for His Church. When we gather under his sovereignty we will be blessed, equipped and nourished in our souls. Thank you, Jesus! You willingly went to the cross for us. You called us to build a church by sharing the good news of redemption available for all, and sent us out to help as many people as possible be totally committed to YOU! Holy Spirit, continue to teach us and remind us of what Jesus taught, of what we've read in your Holy Word, and how to have lives that are pleasing to you. Protect us, guide us, give us wisdom.“Live It!” Challenge
Read Acts 2 as many times as you can in the days ahead. Close your eyes and try to capture what the feeling must have been like to receive the Holy Spirit and experience the thrill of being in the middle of the dawn of the Christian Church.Small Group Discussion
What’s something you noticed for the first time?
What questions did you have?
Was there anything that bothered you?
What did you learn about loving God?
What did you learn about loving others?
