[bible]John 14:6[/bible] Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to Father except through me.”


Prayer Direction

Ask God to show you the truths you live by in your life, and those areas where you can grow and take in truths that stand on solid ground.


“Live It!” Challenge

Survey the situations and relationships in your life where things you know to be true about Jesus and Scripture can be shared in organic ways.


Small Group Discussion

  1. Give examples of expressions you hear that are called “truths” that you would describe as beliefs or opinions.

  2. In the above question, how do you personally discern the difference?

  3. How does the watering down of truth pose dangers to us?

  4. Why is knowing certain things to be true so important?

  5. Read John 14:6 together and discuss the various meanings you find within this verse.

  6. When you think of things that are true in the Bible, which verses, narratives and teachings come to mind as absolute truths?

  7. How do you view the current cultural trend in which people claim “their truth” and where do you see opportunities to counter this trend?

  8. Define and discuss the differences between beliefs, opinions and truths.

  9. Read Psalm 25:5 and share what truths you sense God is teaching you now.
