Day 1 READ: Matthew 25:31-46. Who is involved in this amazing drama that unfolds in this passage? What do you learn about Jesus, the King of glory, in this passage? What do you learn about the eternal condition of human beings?
Day 1 PRAY: Spend time in the next week thinking about different people God has placed in your life (from friends to family to casual acquaintances). Who do you know that has a relationship with Jesus that is so real that they live a life like the Savior? Who do you know that will hear the words, “Depart from me,” and what can you do to share the hope of Jesus with them?
Day 2 READ: Luke 16:19-31. What does this passage teach about the eternal condition of human beings? What does it teach about “second chances” after death? How have people through history been able to hear the truth of God through the prophets, the Law (Moses) and through the resurrection of Jesus (by the witness of His people)? Why are so many people resistant to God’s message?
Day 2 PRAY: Take time this week to study some passages from the time of Moses Exodus 12:1-30, the Prophets Isaiah 53, and the life of Jesus (John 19-20) that point to Jesus as the Savior. How does the combined witness of Moses, the Prophets and Jesus point people to the only way of salvation?
Day 3 READ: Revelation 21:6-8. What hope does this passage give for those who place their faith in Jesus? What is the end condition of those who refuse the grace of Jesus and die still holding on to all their sin and guilt? How does this passage teach the reality of two distinct and dramatically different eternal conditions for human beings?
Day 3 PRAY: Take time to worship Jesus as the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. Give Him praise for ruling over all things. Thank God for the inheritance you have already received in Jesus and praise Him for all that awaits you in heaven through faith in the crucified and risen Lord!
Day 4 READ: John 3:16-18. What does this passage say is the eternal condition of those who put genuine faith in Jesus? Why did Jesus leave heaven and enter this world? What is the spiritual condition of those who do not place genuine faith in Jesus?
Day 4 PRAY: Take time to reflect on your own faith. When did you place confident hope and trust in Jesus as the only One who could cleanse, forgive, save, and lead your life? Who do you know and love that still stands condemned by sin, and how can you tell this person about the cleansing and hope that come through faith in Jesus?
Day 5 READ: John 14:1-6. What do we learn about the way to heaven in this passage? What do we learn about heaven itself? How is Jesus the way to heaven and why is He the only way? What does this mean about claims that there are other ways to heaven?
Day 5 PRAY: Spend time thanking Jesus for making a way to heaven through His sacrifice. Think about what it will mean to be with Jesus in perfect communion for eternity. Make a list of people you love who have not placed their faith in Jesus and pray for their hearts to become soft to Jesus and for you to become bold in sharing about the only way to go to heaven.

Memorize and Reflect

John 3:18
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
