Day 1 READ: 1 Corinthians 15:1-34. What does the Apostle Paul say is the most important thing (truth) he gave to the church (v.1-5)? What are the implications and consequences if Jesus were not raised from the dead? When we know Jesus was raised from the dead, what else can we be sure of?
Day 1 PRAY: Spend time thanking Jesus for the truth of the resurrection and make a list of the difference the resurrection makes in your life today and forever. Pray that other Christians will recognize the glory and power of the resurrection of Jesus.
Day 2 READ: 1 Corinthians 15:35-58. What are some of the differences between our body now and the resurrection body we will have one day? What will happen when Jesus comes again (v. 50-57)? How have death and hell lost their power because of Jesus and why does this truth give Christians hope and strength each day?
Day 2 PRAY: We are called to give ourselves fully to the work of Jesus. Make a list of some of the ways you can do Jesus’ work in your home, community, and the church. Make time to act on one or two of these “works for Jesus” in the coming week.
Day 3 READ: John 14. What has Jesus done to make it possible for us to go and be with him for eternity? How does Jesus show us the way to heaven, offer us the truth of heaven, and bring meaning to our lives today and for eternity? What do we see in Jesus that reveals who the Father is?
Day 3 PRAY: Make a list of characteristics that marked the life of Jesus when He walked on this planet. Then, make a list of things this teaches you about your heavenly Father. Spend time thanking God for who He is and asking Him to reveal more of Himself to you and others.
Day 4 READ: Revelation 21. What does this passage teach you about the new heaven and earth. What will it be like? What does it teach us about the New Jerusalem and the Lamb of God? Why is it helpful to think of heaven and look forward to eternity with Jesus as we walk through this life?
Day 4 PRAY: Thank God that you will be in perfect fellowship with Him: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for eternity! Give thanks for the people who have died before you in faith that you will see in heaven one day. Give praise to Jesus for preparing a place for you because He wants to be in eternal community with His people!
Day 5 READ: Revelation 22. What do the images and pictures in this final chapter of the Bible teach you about heaven and eternity? What does this passage reveal about Jesus? When the Bible talks about Jesus coming soon, what do you think that means?
Day 5 PRAY: Pray for patience as you await the day when you will see Jesus face-to-face. Ask God to help you use each day of this life to glorify Him, grow in faith, and share the Good News of Jesus with others. Pray for faithfulness to never add to or take away from the teachings of the Bible.

Memorize and Reflect

John 4:3
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
