Sermon Series: Into the Wild Week 2Sermon Title: An Incredible Healing: The Power of God on Display delivered on August 3, 2025
Day 1 READ: Acts 3:1-10. Reflecting on the hopelessness of the man born lame and the healing power of God through Peter and John, what are three things that inspire you from this story? Where do you need the healing power of Jesus in your life?
Day 1 PRAY: Take a moment to pause and pray, thanking Jesus for the ultimate healing he offers and delivers. Ask Him to bring healing to a specific area in your life (physical, relational, emotional, mental, financial). Ask the Holy Spirit to give you confidence as you wait and partner with Him, doing your part.
Day 2 READ: Acts 3:12-26. How did Peter maximize the opportunity to point people to Jesus rather than credit himself? What are some of the key elements of the gospel that Peter communicates with clarity and conviction?
Day 2 PRAY: Take time to pray and thank Jesus for offering himself as an atoning sacrifice for your sins. Thank Him for the power of His resurrection and ascension. Invite Him to show you one person you need to be more ready and willing to share the gospel with. Ask Him to begin to prepare their heart and your words as you prepare to share.
Day 3 READ: Acts 4:1-22. How did the people respond to the incredible healing? The religious leaders? What three things inspire you from this portion of scripture, especially verse 13?
Day 3 PRAY: Spend time in prayer and invite Jesus to show you an area in your life where you need to trust Him more and be more bold in your faith! Commit to Him your plan to align more with His will and His Word. Write it down in your prayer journal or in a note on your phone and share your plan with a fellow follower of Jesus.
Day 4 READ: Acts 4:23-31. How did the early church respond to Peter and John’s release and the threats from the religious leaders and officials? What was the result of the people’s prayers? How does that inspire you to be more prayerful in the face of adversity?
Day 4 PRAY: Reach out to three friends or family members and ask them to share any prayer requests with you. Write their prayers in your phone/journal. Spend time praying today for each person and pray specifically for those needs, and ask God to move in power according to His will. Check back with your friends and family members in a couple of days to see how God moved in their situations.
Day 5 READ: Acts 4:32-37. What are some examples of the early church doing life together? What was especially inspiring about Barnabas’ contribution?
Day 5 PRAY: Pause and thank Jesus for His provision for you. Ask Him to show you ways you could be more generous with your time and resources. Invite the Holy Spirit to show you any potential areas where money or possessions might be inhibiting your faith in Jesus.
Memorize and Reflect
Acts 3:16
By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.
