Sermon Series: Real Faith Sermon Title: Real Faith Resists the Devil and Sinful Desires
Delivered On: July 3, 2016
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. ([bible]James 4:7[/bible])
Pray for the power of God’s Spirit to fill you so you can submit every area of your life to God’s will and ways. Ask for strength to resist areas of temptation you are facing in your life. Spend time confessing and repenting of areas of open and hidden sin in your life.
Location, Location, Location – James writes, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” ([bible]James 4:8[/bible]). Identify one or two ways you can draw near to God on a daily basis. Seek to make time, early in your day, to draw near to God, acknowledge His presence in your life, and surrender your will and day to His will. Also, identify how you can draw near to God when you are facing repeating and common temptations in your life.
