Memorize and Reflect

He said, If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you. (Exodus 15:26)

Prayer Direction

Thank God for His power to heal relationships, hearts, bodies, and our souls. Give Him praise for the ways He has brought healing in your life. Pray for yourself and those you love to become partners with God in specific areas where you or others need healing.

“Live It!” Challenge

Relational Healing: Identify one person in your life who you are experiencing brokenness and conflict with. Spend time in the next week praying for God’s help in healing this relationship and pray for courage and honesty as you prepare to connect with this person. Then, walk through the Matthew 18:15-17 process with a prayerful and humble heart. Be ready to confess where you have been wrong. Actively seek restoration for the glory of Jesus and for the health of this relationship.

Small Group Discussion

  1. What are some of the areas of brokenness in our lives and world that really need the healing power of God to be unleashed for there to be change authentic healing?

  2. What do we mean when we say, God wants to partner with us in our healing? Why do you think that (most of the time) God wants us to be partners in healing and not simply heal us?

  3. Read: Matthew 18:15-17
What is the process God gives for relational healing and restoration? What is God’s part and what is our part?

  4. What gets in the way of us walking through this process when there is brokenness in our relationships? How can we overcome these obstacles?

  5. Read: John 9:1-12 and John 35-41
How do you see the love and compassion of God unleashed in this act of healing? How did this bring glory to God?

  6. How have you seen or experienced God’s physical healing? How has this impacted your faith?

  7. Tell about a time you prayed, exercised faith, but healing did not come (or has not yet come). How can we continue walking with God and trusting Him as a good Father when we don’t see healing?

  8. Read: Romans 10:9-10 and Revelation 21:1-4
How is salvation the ultimate healing experience in every area of our lives?

  9. How has your faith in Jesus helped you in the areas of life when you are healed and where you are still seeking healing?
