Memorize and Reflect

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:6)

Prayer Direction

Thank Jesus for making a way to heaven and back to the arms of our heavenly Father. Pray for two or three friends or family members who are not yet followers of Jesus. Ask God to open their hearts to the good news of Jesus so they can spend eternity with Him!

“Live It!” Challenge

Tell the Story If you believe the Bible is true and that real people will spend forever with God, or separate from Him, pray for boldness to tell someone the story of Jesus. Identify one person you know and love who is still far from Jesus. Look for a natural opportunity to tell your story of deciding to follow Jesus. As you share your story, be sure to tell His story of taking your sin and paying the price for you.

  3. Read: John 14:1-4 and Revelation 21:1-5 Why should the promise and glory of heaven do the following:

Make us fearless in how we live our life today?
Move us to share our faith with others?

  4. Read: Revelation 20:11-15 and John 3:16-18 Why should the reality and seriousness of hell do the following:

Help our church engage in reaching out with the gospel in your community?
Move churches all over the world engage in mission and global evangelism?

  5. Who is one person you are praying for that does not yet know Jesus and who is not headed toward heaven right now? How can your group members pray for you, cheer you on, and keep you accountable to reach out to this persona and share the grace and good news of Jesus with them?

  6. Read: John 11:25-26, Acts 16:25-34 and Romans 10:9-11 Lots of people have personal ideas about what gets someone into heaven. What do these passages and other Bible passages say about the way to heaven?

  7. What are some of the “popular theories” about what gets a person into heaven…that are not biblical or correct? How can we fight these with the truth?

  8. How does the hope of heaven impact your daily life? How can you think more about heaven and find strength in the certainty you have that heaven is your home through faith in Jesus?
